 Dear Editor,

I am writing to bring your attention to the growing menace of drug abuse among students. It is a matter of great concern that the younger generation is falling prey to this destructive habit, which is not only harmful to their health but also has negative implications for society as a whole.

Drug addiction is a complex problem that affects individuals physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Unfortunately, the problem is not limited to any particular age group or socioeconomic status. It is observed that drug abuse has become a trend among students, and it is getting worse day by day.

The reasons behind drug addiction among students are numerous. Peer pressure, curiosity, anxiety, depression, and lack of parental guidance are some of the common factors contributing to drug addiction among students. What is more worrisome is that students who fall victim to this habit often suffer from various health issues, including respiratory problems, heart diseases, liver and kidney damage, and even mental health problems.

As a responsible citizen, it is our duty to take measures to address this menace. Parents, teachers, and society need to play a significant role in educating students about the harmful effects of drug addiction. Creating awareness and organizing campaigns to spread knowledge about the negative effects of drug abuse can go a long way in reducing drug addiction among students.

In conclusion, it is time to address the issue of drug abuse among students on an urgent basis. I urge the concerned authorities to take immediate action to prevent the younger generation from falling prey to this menace. Let us work together to create a drug-free society and ensure a healthy and prosperous future for our children.

Yours sincerely,

Priti/Pritam
